CLIFF DRIVE GROUNDWATER CONTAMINATION

Exposure status: insufficient data

About this site’s exposure pathways: As of August 2025, there is insufficient information available to determine the sitewide Human Exposure Control status at the Cliff Drive Groundwater Contamination Superfund Site. EPA listed the Site on the National Priorities List in May 2019 and no PRP has been identified. A fund-lead Remedial Investigation is being conducted to characterize the nature and extent of contamination at the Site, identify the sources of the contamination, and identify any uncontrolled human exposures. The first phase of the Remedial Investigation has been completed using high resolution techniques to characterize groundwater and map the bedrock system. EPA currently anticipates having sufficient information to make a human exposure determination by the end of December 2026.

Data limitations: Proximity to a Superfund site boundary does not mean your property is contaminated. EPA site boundaries show the area designated for cleanup, not the full extent of contamination. Groundwater plumes can extend beyond site boundaries. This tool shows publicly available EPA federal data.
