Exposure status: insufficient data

About this site’s exposure pathways: As of April 2025, there is Insufficient data to Determine Human Exposure Control Status at the Strother Field Industrial Site with regards to Vapor Intrusion (VI). The planned activities to collect sufficient information to make a human exposure evaluation include but are not limited to sampling and analysis of potential vapor intrusion areas by locating buildings over groundwater contamination plumes, establishing depth to groundwater, determining the classification and permeability of materials in the subsurface, and the actual use of each structure. EPA is working with the Potentially Responsible Party's consultant with regards to the above mentioned items. Drafts of the Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP) and work plans have been prepared. The planned milestone date for completed sampling activities is planned for September 30, 2026 after which time a determination will be made to determine if Human Exposure is not an issue or warrants mitigation.

Data limitations: Proximity to a Superfund site boundary does not mean your property is contaminated. EPA site boundaries show the area designated for cleanup, not the full extent of contamination. Groundwater plumes can extend beyond site boundaries. This tool shows publicly available EPA federal data.
