About this site’s exposure pathways: As of June 2025, there is not sufficient information available to determine the site-wide Human Exposure (HE) Control Status at the Penta Wood Products Superfund Site due to the discovery of high concentrations of pentachlorophenol at depth in groundwater outside of the current monitoring network. The activities planned to make the HE determination include sampling residential wells to the north, west, and northwest of the Site in the direction of groundwater flow. This work is planned for Summer 2025. Sufficient information to make a HE determination is expected to be available by January 2026 once data from this sampling event is received and evaluated.
